Adewale was a former slave, a member of the Assassin Order and Edward Kenway's first mate aboard the Jackdaw. During the Golden Age of Piracy, Adewale pointed out scenes of interest to the pirate Assassin, who could then intervene or ignore them. At some point, he helped Edward gain the Jackdaw and its crew.
