Charles Cochon de Lapparent (1750 – 1825) was a Minister of Police of France. He operated out of a small police station in the city of Paris during the French Revolution.

Sometime during the revolution, Lapparent enlisted the aid of the Assassin Arno Dorian in investigating a number of unsolved murder cases throughout the city. As Arno solved each case, Lapparent rewarded him with money and several of the police department's specialty weapons.

Additionally, the future detective Eugène François Vidocq was an inmate in Lapparent's prison during Arno's investigations.
