Abstergo Entertainment is a division of Abstergo Industries that produces multimedia products. Its primary product is a gaming console version of the Animus, which is sold on a worldwide scale. Through its initial basis, it enabled the company to influence the general public through pre-packaged genetic memories and wide, social gaming constructs.[1]

However, despite these aims, the scheme faced some opposition from a group of hackers known only as the Erudito Collective, who intended to dispel the false beliefs that Abstergo had planted within their products.[1][2]

By 2013, the company had at least one facility in Montreal, Canada and it released games, movies and other media by recording genetic memories. Their games, taken from real life memories, were released in partnership with Ubisoft.[3]
