Assassin's Creed: Rogue is an upcoming 2014 sandbox action adventure game. Rogue follows the story of the Templar Shay Cormac between 1752 and 1761.[1] The game will be exclusive to PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. It is set to be released on 11 November 2014.[2]

Development

Assassin’s Creed Rogue is being developed by Ubisoft Sofia, in collaboration with Ubisoft’s Singapore, Montreal, Quebec, Chengdu, Milan and Bucharest studios.[3] The game was written by Richard Farrese.[4]

Gameplay

Shay's weaponry includes an air rifle equipped with distractionary bullets and grenades. He is captain of the Morrigan, which is armed with burning oil and a puckle gun.

The primary locations in the game are New York, the River Valley and the North Atlantic Ocean. The North Atlantic is an icy water-based map, where icebergs can be used as cover during naval combat. Ice sheets can also be broken to uncover secrets. The River Valley is a hybrid of land-based and naval gameplay, with seamless river navigation integrated into a map reminiscent of the Frontier from Assassin's Creed III.

The game features a unique take on Eagle Vision, allowing Shay to detect Assassins hiding in the shadows.

During the ship boarding sequences, Shay and his crew must defend the Morrigan from the Assassin attackers, as opposed to being the boarding party in Black Flag.
