The Abandoned Bog Hamlet was a deserted small settlement in northeastern Grantebridgescire, England.
History
In 873, Eivor Varinsdottir of the Raven Clan aided jarlskona Soma in finding and rescuing her three advisors Lif, Birna, and Galinn, the latter of whom was surrounded by wolves within the hamlet. After killing the wolves, Soma and Eivor protected Galinn as he was led back to Soma's camp.[1] After their fight against the Order member Wigmund,[2] Soma and Eivor realized they were betrayed one of Soma's advisors, so Eivor returned to the hamlet to investigate. There, Eivor found evidence that Galinn had inexplicably painted his longship yellow, an unusually bright color for a ship that had recently been used in a stealthy raid, as well one of Galinn's verses speaking of his destiny. After finding a trail of bodies, Eivor left believing Galinn may be the traitor.[3]
