Bagley has downloaded a new Optik patch that allows users to find active ctOS hubs from a high point. Reach one of these locations to find one of these hubs.
- Bagley: Now this is interesting. There's a new Optik patch tied to certain high points in the city. I don't think this was ctOS-approved. I suggest reaching these spots to see what's been put in our Optiks.
The DedSec operative made their way to one of the spots and synchronized.
- Bagley: I'd say this new mechanic-- I mean patch was a success. Look at what you've unlocked!
- Audio File – Message from Lucas #1 This is a message for Darcy. I know I told you not to follow me, so I'm willing to bet you did the exact opposite. The Templars have run rampant in this city. They have agents everywhere. SIRS, Albion, even Clan Kelley. I'm marking intel where I can for you, or anyone else in the Brotherhood. We can take them on. We just have to try.
- Bagley: I'm not quite sure what that was about, but if it means fighting people already on our shit list, then I'd say it's worth pursuing.
Artifact Recovery: Royal Mews
- Audio File – Message from Lucas: Artifact Recovery Darcy, if you're listening to this, things are even worse here than I thought. The Templars have taken Assassin artifacts, keeping them locked away for no good reason. I tried recovering some of these artifacts, but they're tricky. The cases are equipped with a deadlock. The minute you're spotted, the deadlocks are activated. No way of opening them, not for a long while. You were always better at stealthing than me. I hope you can recoverr this stuff for the Brotherhood.
After an operative infiltrated the location at the Royal Mews and recovered one of Evie Frye's Cane-swords, they intercepted a message.
- Audio File – Message from Darcy #1 Lucas. It's been two days already. Enough of this. I can't stick my neck out looking for you. It's bad enough if you get yourself killed, but it's really selfish of you to drag me down with you. We can't take on the Templars, not even if everyone we've got left marched on London together. The Assassins aren't strong enough yet. You've always been so impatient. Just stop being so damn sneaky, will you? Let me find you.
Cane Sword: A weapon of choice for the legendary Assassin Evie Frye. The weapon is rusted and damaged, no longer fit for combat.
Artifact Recovery: Leather Lane
After an operative infiltrated the location at Leather Lane and recovered Jacob Frye's necklace, they intercepted a message.
- Audio File – Message from Darcy #2 Lucas, I hope you find this. I'm sorry we fought so much the day you left. I'm still really cross with you for running off to London and making me come after you, but still, I'm sorry. You were just being so stupid, I couldn't get through to you. Being an Assassin is not about running headlong into things. We take our time, hide in the shadows, wait for the right opportunity to strike. I guess I should've explained all that better, without yelling. But - but you should know all this already! Oh God, this is supposed to be an apology. I'm sorry. Please, let's go home.
Jacob Frye's Necklace: A necklace belonging to Jacob Frye, renowned Assassin and leader of the London gang known as "the Rooks".
Templar Bounty: Barbican Centre
- Audio File – Message from Lucas: Templar Bounty Hey, Darcy. I am finding Templars all over the city. They are secretive as hell, hiding in their offices, behind guards. I found one way to get them out in the open was to hack into their networks and just break everything. Let them know I knew who they are. Had to take on a lot of goons before the Templar came out, but it worked. Just a suggestion.
The operative hacked into the Templar's server.
- Bagley: I'm off to ruin this Templar's day. Be right back.
They corrupted all the data in the network.
- Bagley: All we had to do was break everything and everyone, but here's the Templar.
The operative neutralized the Templar and intercepted a message.
- Audio File – Message from Darcy #3 Lucas, I know you have this bright idea about how "our ancestors single-handedly saved London from the Templars before, so whay can't we do it again", but there's more to the story, isn't there? They had a whole gang behind them. And help from another Assassin. Some of the most brilliant people ever born were their allies, and our ancestors still had a tough time fighting. We don't have anybody. Just the two of us. Not that I'm saying I'm helping you on this mad quest, but still, I've made my point. Our ancestors were nearly killed many times over. We could be killed just as easily.
- Bagley: That's one Templar who won't be Templaring around the place anymore.
- Bagley: Right. On to the next bit.
Re-Sync
The DedSec operative made their way to the viewpoint at FLVR Restaurant and synchronized.
- Bagley: Climbing to a high point to unlock icons on a map. How innovative.
Artifact Recovery: Rotherrhithe Docks
After an operative infiltrated the location at the Rotherrhithe Docks and recovered an Assassin Gauntlet, they intercepted a message.
- Audio File – Message from Darcy #4 You know what, Lucas? Fine. Fine - get yourself killed. Let the Templars take you and do whatever they like. I've had enough of this. You are being so petulant! I am going to get out of this bloody city, regroup with the other Assassins, and we will reclaim London when the time is right. You're on your own now. Understand. You are on your own.
Assassin's Bracer: A bracer commonly used by members of the London Brotherhood in the 19th century. Finely crafted but worn with age.
Templar Bounty: Southwark Auto Conversions
The operative hacked into the Templar's server.
- Bagley: I'm off to ruin this Templar's day. Be right back.
They corrupted all the data in the network.
- Bagley: I suppose we've made an impression. There's the Templar!
The operative neutralized the Templar and intercepted a message.
- Audio File – Message from Darcy #5 Hello, Lucas. All right, so obviously I haven't left London. Not yet, anyway. I was hoping you'd at least make things somewhat easier and come find me. Father was right, you're just as stubborn as he is. To be honest, I don't know if I can even go back, with or without you. We broke a deal made between the Assassins and the Templars. Just being in London is a death sentence.
- Bagley: There. That's one Templar who won't be Templaring around the place anymore.
Templar Bounty: Tidis Advanced Technologies
The operative hacked into the Templar's server.
- Bagley: Let's see, time to reformat this Templar's hardware. That'll annoy them.
They corrupted all the data in the network.
- Bagley: I suppose we've made an impression. There's the Templar!
The operative neutralized the Templar and intercepted a message.
- Audio File – Message from Darcy #6 Will the Assassins take me back, with or without you? I don't know. Possibly. I just know I can't leave London without you. I don't want to. So I'll keep looking for you. Hopefully these messages and come to your senses and find me. We just need to leave, before we get into real trouble.
- Bagley: Well done. I'd hate to be that Templar's reconstructive surgeon.
- Bagley: I'm impressed. That wasn't a total disaster.
Enter the Assassins
DedSec have caught wind of the ongoing conflict between the Assassin Brotherhood and the Templar Order. This is bigger than anything DedSec has seen before. The only way to learn more is to follow the strange drone flying around London.
Track down the drone and download more data from it.
- Audio File – Darcy's Phone Call #1
Graham: Assassin. I seem to remember giving your Brotherhood the chance to leave London with what few numbers you had left. So imagine how disappointed I was to find out not one, but two Assassins had broken their promise.
Darcy: Trust me, I'm only here yo get my idiot brother back. So let Lucas go, we'll leave the city, and we can forget this whole thing ever happened.
Graham: Hmm, I don't think so. You see, I'm not as nice as my fellow Templars, and your brother has information that I want. If you're not out of the city by the time I'm through with him, I'll find you next. Have a lovely day.
The operative questioned what they just heard.
- Bagley: Ah, so you caught that as well. Weird shit alert. I'm not even sure what to make of it. We'd better discuss it in the safe house.
The operative made their way to the safehouse to ask Bagley what was going on.
- Bagley: How should I say this? I seem to have come across some sort of... ancient conflict. The recording you heard came from a strange drone flying around the city. The names of the groups in conflict are obvious enough: Assassins and Templars. But there is no record of either of them online, not even in the furthest fringes of the darkweb. So either these are LARPers with very active imaginations, or we are dealing with two groups that are older and more powerful that we can possibly imagine.
The operative suggested checking it out.
- Bagley: Good idea. Connie's been helping analyse the data I pulled from the drone. I'm sure she's champing at the bit to tell you more.
The operative thanked Bagley and went to talk to Connie Robinson.
- Connie: I've been following up on the few clues we got from that recording. Assassins. Templars. This "Lucas" fellow, and the strange drone we got the recording from. Not much to find on the first three, but that drone? It's a doozy.
The operative pressed her for more information.
- Connie: It wasn't made by any of the big weapons manufacturers. It's got no serial number, no identifying tags of any kind. I found a proxy to its schematics, and the design is mental. I also found enough GPS to put together a flight path. Whatever's going on here, it's big. You better find that thing.
The operative agreed and left to track down the drone.
- Bagley: There's the drone. I need to form a comms bridge before I can permanently access it.
They managed to retrieve around 50% of the data, when the drone let out an EMP.
- Bagley: I couldn't complete the bridge, but I was able to download part of the drone's cache history. This is the earliest entry.
- Audio File – Message from Darcy #1 Darcy: Don't go, Lucas. If the Templars find you in London, they will kill you. None of us will be safe anymore.
Lucas: To hell with "safe". If our ancestors could go up against the Templars on their own, then so can I.
Darcy: God, I am sick of hearing about what heroes Jacob and Evie Frye were.
Lucas: Darcy, if you're not going to help me defend the tomb, then don't get in my way. Don't follow me, don't do anything. Goodbye.
- Connie: Finally, some information I can find online. Jacob and Evie Frye, notorious twin gangsters who took over London in the 1860s. Killed some industrialist called... [sigh] "Crawford Starrick". [laugh], all right, then. What about that tomb, though. I wonder what could that be?
The operative followed the drone.
- Bagley: Our analysis of the drone's flight path suggests it's in the area. Have a look around.
You found our drone friend! Time for another go at that comms bridge.
Once again it failed.
- Bagley: Couldn't quite seal the deal, but I did get us some more cache.
- Audio File – Message from Darcy #2
Darcy: I found you, you bastard. I know where you've got my brother and I'm coming to get him!
Graham: Well, hurry up, then. This doubles my chances of getting the location of the tomb before the day is out. I think I'll strap you into a chair next to your brother. I'm sying fot you to see what I've done with him. [chuckle]
Darcy: Keep talking like that, and I'll make sure your death is a painful one.
- Bagley: That conversation was recorded mere minutes ago. We may be able to lend a hand before it's too late.
The operative tracked down the drone once again.
- Bagley: There it is. One more download ought to do it.
They managed to establish the bridge.
- Bagley: Comms established. Hello? Anyone there?
- Darcy: You found me. About time. Making yourself traceable while still staying hidden is harder than it sounds.
The operative introduces themselves as part of DedSec, with Connie also joining in:
- Connie: We're here to help.
- Darcy: I guessed as much. I don't know anyone else capable of hacking and tracing like that. I assume you've heard what's been happening. If you want to help me save my brother, then meet me at this location. Face to face.
- Connie: So, Darcy: you and your brother are Assassins, and your brother's been taken by the Templars. How did all this start, anyway?
- Darcy: Sorry, I don't really have the time for a history lesson. Let's just say the Assassin Brotherhood stands for freedom for all, and the Templar Order... Does not. Although, I'm ashamed to say the Brotherhood has seen better days. There's only a few of us left, hiding outside the city. Meanwhile the Templars have a hand in nearly every part of London. All except the Tomb of the Assassins.
- Bagley: And while your group is on the ropes, your brother thought the best course of action was to come to London and stir up trouble. Sounds a lot like us, actually.
The operative found Darcy outside the Kennington police station.
- Darcy: DedSec and the Assassins. Did you ever imagine this happening? Lucas is being held by the Templars in that police station. I've been trying their security, but I imagine you're better suited for this sort of thing. If you can hack in and find my brother, I'll infiltrate and get him out. How does that sound?
The operative agreed and went to do their part.
- Bagley: We're approaching the access point for the police station.
- Darcy: Now that we're connected, I'll be able to see inside the building with you. Once I know where Lucas is, I'll take over.
They managed to find the central server.
- Bagley: There's the target. You can download from there.
If this Assassin is in the police station, we'll find him.
They then gained access to the camera feed for interview room 2XB, where they could see Lucas strapped to a chair and connected to a machine, while Graham paced in and out of camera view, talking.
- Graham: You know, maybe you can enlighten me about something. Why is it that time and time again, that the Assassins are reduced to nothing? Pirates, hermits, street thugs. All these brushes with extinction, you would think you people would learn from your mistakes? Hm.. I don't know, what's your take?
- Lucas: [breaths] I've already told you were the tomb is and what's hidden inside it. I would rather die than hear another word from you, you sadistic prick.
- Graham: Oh, we'll get to that, believe me. But first things first. I want you alive when my team finds a way into your precious tomb. I want you to watch as we claim the last Assassin stronghold for the Templar Order.
- Lucas: [coughs, exhales]
The machine lets out a long beep as Lucas passes away.
Graham touches his communicator.
- Graham: Keep searching the Buckingham grounds. We'll find a way in. And may the Father of Understanding guide us.
- Darcy: No! I'll kill him.
- Bagley: I don't think that will be wise. Security's been notified of our intrusion. Time to bugger off.

Ghost of Saint Germain
- French Man: There! There! Do you see it? Mon Dieu! (My God!) On the roof of the chapel!
- French Woman 1: Merde! (Shit!) I see it, I see it! The ghost of St. Germain ... O! It's true! I will faint.
- French Woman 2: Don't be dramatic! It's just a shadow. Wait ... is it? Now I don't know.
Climbing the chapel's tower, Eivor found a cadaver and a note.
- Captain's Orders Captain,
My spies have tracked your attacker to the ruined Abbey of Saint Germain just west of Paris.
As you have managed to lose three separate watches to this single unknown assailant, and as a result have left your duty at the excavations unfulfilled, I want you to see to it personally. Search that Abbey, find the assailant, and do not report back until the matter is resolved.
Permanently.
- I.M.
The King of Rats
Eivor found a couple of guards staring at a boarded up entrance to a dungeon. She dealt with the pair and made her way down, avoiding a great number of rats to get at a note.
- Stained Note More of those miscreants who pledged their services to me turned traitor. I hear whispers in the tunnels - they fear me, they think I'm mad, and they plot against me. Did they not hear the screams of those before? My pets had a grand time, though the bones were troublesome to clear.
These men are worse than rats. Disloyal to the bone. It's my fault. I suppose, for allowing them into my tunnels.
I will show them what it takes to be a Rat King. My pets will eat well - every piece of tender meat I can give them. Once the poison takes me and my body lies warm and fresh, they will eat their best meal yet.

Eivor wandered into a fight.
- French Soldier: Stand down! This is not your silver!
- French Man: Not a chance! It's our silver, you took it from us!
Eivor fought against the soldiers.
- French Soldier: What? They have a heathen on their side?
- French Man: Are you friend or foe? No matter. Help us, stranger! I promise you a reward!
- French Soldier: Stand down, I say! Stand down!
Eivor killed the last of the soldiers.
- Eivor: That is the last of them. I could speak to the men and find out what happened here.
- French Man: Thank you, stranger. We underestimated their strength, and without you, we would have perished.
- Eivor: Not often I find civilians robbing armed soldiers.
- French Man: This is our silver they were trying to take. They raise our taxes and keep the coins for their own indulgence. True, you helped win it back, but we are not inclined to share. I trust that you will let us pass? In return, we will give you a map we stole from the governor's men.
- Eivor: Where does it lead?
- French Man: The governor has a place up north. The map shows a secret entrance. Imagine what you might find there! We plan to raid it ourselves, but I did promise you a reward.
- Eivor: Take the silver and leave the map.
- French Man: Thank you, stranger.
He handed over the map.
- Eivor: Map to a secret entrance ... I wonder where it leads.
She traveled to Murmiliacum and found the entrance marked on the map.
- Eivor: This must be the place the peasants mentioned. A mint, interesting.

The Siege of Paris
Homecoming
[Assuming this depends on whether you spare charles or not]
- Randvi: Eivor! Are we safe?
- Eivor: It will be many winters before Frankish troops land on the English shore.
- Randvi: My spies say Paris fell.
- Eivor: It did. But the situation is thornier than that.
- Randvi: In what way?
- Eivor: The queen, Richardis, believes she can subdue the mad king in isolation. They have withdrawn to a faraway place.
- Randvi: But Charles has such a stormy reputation. Can this queen tame such a man?
- Eivor: Richardis has a deep well of courage to draw from. And she holds sway over Charles like no other.
- Randvi: That is comforting.
- Eivor: We also have a hardy ally in Toka Sinricsdottir.
- Randvi: She is young.
- Eivor: And a quick study. She'll do right by us.
The pair looked over the residents of Raventhorpe.
- Randvi: Perhaps they need not know the danger we faced.
- Eivor: We came home with bounty, glory and some Frankish foods. I can ask the raiders to keep their tales to that.
- Randvi: They will say everything and then some.
- Eivor: [laughs] Afraid so.
Some time after, Randvi left and Eivor talked to herself.
- Eivor: New strength comes to weathered halls. Now, I can rest.
Standalone
A Package for Paris
Eivor finds a crate once carried by a smuggler bound for Paris. Completing the delivery could leaad to payment.
- Carefully Written Letter: Papa,
I am saddened to hear from Mama that you will not be here for my birthday, though I know that you are on an important mission. Mama says that you are meeting that man at the north docks of Paris, to deliver the medicine promised. All I can do is wait and be good, for the medicine you bring to them is much needed and the children need you more than I do. I shall save some cake for your return.
I miss you, and I love you always.
Foe
- Eivor: These wares belonged to a smuggler. I wonder if there is silver in returning these.
Eivor made her way to the north docks and found the contact.
- French Man: Late last week and again this week. I do not see him being late when drink is cheap at the tavern.
Eivor approached him.
- Eivor: You seem to be waiting for someone.
- French Man: Everyone is waiting. For resolve, for courage, for love...
- Eivor: For wares to be delivered under the cover of night. I have the supplies you're waiting for.
- French Man: Ah, finally! The medicine! The children have been waiting for days. Day and night, I have prayed all I can. But their fevers do not subside... Hand the wares over, quickly!
- Eivor: Take them.
- French Man: Thank you. Now, here is the coin owed...
- Eivor: No need. To die from fever is not something I would wish upon my worst enemies. Heal your sick. May fate grant them an honorable death.
- French Man: I do not follow your customs, Northern One, but I appreciate your kindness. Godspeed to you.

Octavian
[These are convos with octavian that aren't part of rivalry for the ages]
[I think you might be able to talk to him before building it]
Eivor provided the resources to have the museum built. After it was done, she found Octavian inspecting the museum.
- Octavian: Hmmm. I suppose it will do for the moment. Though it lacks the grandiosity of the Empire at its peak.
- Eivor: You don't like it?
- Octavian: It's not that. It's just not terribly Roman. It needs more. More relics, more statuary, more ... Rome! If you happen to find any distinctly Roman artifacts on your travels, bring them by. We can make something of this mess yet.
[THEN FOR SOME FUCKING REASON THEY ACT AS IF THEY NEVER MET????]
- Octavian: Salve, Eivor! We have not yet been introduced. I am Octavian Claudius Britannicus, a collector of Roman relics.
- Eivor: Quite a name you have.
- Octavian: If you are wondering what good I will bring to the settlement, you need only look to the greatest empire the world has ever known.
- Eivor: Yes, I have seen their great ruins. Always impressive.
- Octavian: But you have not seen them restored to their former glory! And I can help.
