Yekaterinburg, formerly known as Sverdlovsk, is a Russian city located in the Ural, on the border between Asia and Europe, and the fourth largest city of the country.

In 1918, soon after the October Revolution, the Assassin Nikolai Orelov was tasked with finding an artifact in possession of the Bolsheviks guarding the Imperial family in the city. During his mission, Orelov witnessed the execution of Nicholas II's family but decided to save the Princess Anastasia.[1]
