Ashildr was an Anglo-Saxon child who lived in East Anglia, England during the 9th century.
When the Viking shieldmaiden Eivor Varinsdottir of the Raven Clan traveled to East Anglia to investigate the death of a number of cattle, she met with Abbess Wulfhilda. During her investigation of the murdered cattle, she spoke with Ashildr and her friend Cedl who witnessed a "Jötunn" killing the cattle.[1]
