The Theban Necropolis is a necropolis located on the west bank of the Nile, opposite of Thebes in Upper Egypt. It was home to the tombs of pharaohs from the New Kingdom period and nobles of Egypt, most notably the Valley of the Kings and the Tomb of the Nobles.
