Rahotep was a farmer living near Dionysias, Egypt, during the 1st century BCE.

Rahotep's mother died when he was but a child, and Rahotep was raised by his father alone.[1]

Around 48 BCE, Rahotep's village was attacked by bandits following the Son of Ra, and the villagers were captured. This gave birth to rumors that villages were disappearing, due to demons. Rahotep, however, managed to escape, as did a man called Addaya.[1]

They fled, and Rahotep climbed into a broken tower for safety, while Addaya fled all the way to the shore of Lake Moeris. Soon afterwards, the Medjay Bayek of Siwa met Addaya, whose rantings led the Medjay to find Rahotep.[1]

The boy had decided to save his father, and Bayek failed to dissuade him. Together, they ventured to the White Desert Oasis, and Rahotep led Bayek to the bandits' hideout. Bayek freed the Dionysiotes the bandits had locked up in cages, and escorted them out, but Rahotep's father wasn't among them.[1]

After a brief discussion, the farmers decided to raid the bandits' other hideout, called the "crocodile pit" by Turo, nearby. With the help of Bayek, they dealt with the bandits, and found Rahotep's father. Though badly hurt and blinded, the man was able to recover, and Rahotep embraced him.[1]
