Masireh was a 14th century Wangaran gold trader. Living in Timbuktu, Masireh and his family exploited his people's secret gold mines in West Africa which were coveted by unscrupulous individuals.
During the 21st century, his descendant Grace Collins relived his memories through the Animus on behalf of the Templars and witnessed his kidnapping by a Moroccan merchant. However, Masireh lied telling the merchant that he didn't know the location of the mines as he was in charge of the trade while his brother was in charge of the mines. He then cleverly tricked the merchant with a false map that his brother supposedly left for him in the case he died.[1]
