Manning, also known as Manning, Fighter of Wolves, was a Norse flyter who lived in Stavanger during the 9th century.
During the 870s, Manning challenged the Viking shieldmaiden Eivor Varinsdottir of the Raven Clan, who passed by during her time in the city. Eivor proceeded to defeat Manning in a flyting contest, winning her bet.[1]
