Leon Trotsky (7 November 1879 – 21 August 1940), born Lev Davidovich Bronstein, was a Marxist revolutionary and theorist, a Soviet politician, and the founder of the Red Army. Trotsky's ideas formed the basis of Trotskyism, a major school of Marxism.

He was also a good friend of Nikolai Orelov and was aware of the war between the Templars and the Assassins but was not part of either order.
