Gunnhilda Gunnarsdottir was a Norse weaver who was married to Thorsteinn Silvertongue, a merchant from Stavanger. Originally living a humble life in the settlement, Gunnhilda worked with her husband to increase their standings and riches in the society, by placing Thorsteinn in the service of the jarl and later King of Norway, Harald Fairhair.[2]
