The General of the Cross is the highest-ranking individual within the hierarchy of the modern day Templar Order. The General is responsible for reviewing decisions made by the three Guardians and approving or refusing further action.[1] The General's identity is kept secret from the other Templars, even the Inner Sanctum. Only the Guardians are privy to the General's identity.[2]
