Egyptian rebels opposed Pharaoh Ptolemy XIII's rule during the Alexandrine Civil War.

History

The Cause

in 51 BCE, Ptolemy and his older sister Cleopatra became a co-ruler of Ptolemiac Kingdom until he exile his own sister with the supports of Order of the Ancients and thus became pawn of the Order. With Pharaoh in their pockets The Order gained almost total control of the entire Egypt.

Fighting against the tyrant

To fight against the oppression of Ptolemy the Rebels were formed across the kingdom, conducting guerilla Warfare against Pharaoh's Soldiers.

in 47 BCE, Julius Caesar arrived in Alexandria to meet Ptolemy whose recently killed a Roman General Pompey to present his Head to Caesar in hope of gaining his supports, However their meeting was interrupted by Cleopatra, Bayek, Amunet, and Apollodorus. Cleopatra successfully gain Caesar's Support by offer to become his wife and rule Egypt together, Enraged by this Ptolemy threatens Caesar and declare war on both of them. However Ptolemy's Army proved inferior to the Caesar's and ultimately died during Battle of the Nile.

However, Roman's rulers were not really better than the Egyptians. The Roman Army occupied many parts of Egypt oppressing the native in the process, This leads to the Rebels crashing their swords with Romans.

Bayek's assistance

Bayek the Medjay of Siwa who also fighting to free Egypt from Ptolemy are considered an ally by Rebels, Bayek has assisted many Rebels in his Vengeance Journey.

In 48 BCE, Bayek rescued Theodoros a Rebel Leader in Saqqara Nome from Pharoah's Soldiers. Bayek then escorted Theodoros back to his Rebels comrades, Theodoros explained to Bayek that he is trying to find General Derratos who killed his father and need his help to find the General's Location, Bayek agreed to help and captured Darratos's scribe and interrogate him and learned that Derratos was in Beached Trireme Camp, Bayek and Theodoros lead an assaults on the camp and successfully kill the General.

In either 48 BCE or 47 BCE, Bayek arrived in Remetch Ra and heard talk that two children had gone missing. Bayek talked to Nawa, a teacher of missing children, and learned that the children were trying to find a treasure belonging to Alexander the Great and the Rebels that was searching for them was captured by Ptolemy's Soldiers, Bayek then agreed to help rescue the captured Rebels, Arriving at the Enemy's camp Bayek successfully rescued the Rebels Sebni and Khamet, Khamet then told Bayek that the Treasure was believed to reside inside the Temple of Alexander the Great, Both of them then travel to the Temple and rescued Hetanu one of the children from snakes however the another children Istellah was nowhere to found, Hetanu told Bayek that Istellah found a treasure but was captured by Medon a Commander of Ptolemaic Soldiers in the area who also want the treasure. Bayek then ride off the rescue Istellah from Medon, Bayek was able to killed Medon and rescued Istellah and acquired Alexander's Shield.

Equipment

Due to most of the members coming from civilian backgrounds, they wore a simple white cloth garment and some of them also donned animal skin on their outfit. Their gear was similarly simple, limited to basic swords and bows, though more well-off or lucky individuals were trained to ride mounts such as horses or camels for travel and combat.

Behind the scenes

The Rebels are the only ally faction that can be found randomly during the player's game, Similar to vigilantes in Assassin's Creed: Unity, they will always help players should they be attacked by any enemies, They will also fight the enemies themselves without player's action, though the player can also help them in combat and will be rewarded with experience points.

The Rebels can variously be found in skirmishes with bandits or soldiers, captured in enemy camps or forts, or being attacked by predator animals, and players can decide whether they want to aid them or leave and continue other objectives.
