The four stags of Yggdrasil were four male deer in Norse mythology.
Mythology
Dáinn, Dvalinn, Duneyrr and Duraþrór, four stags who are mentioned in the Poetic Edda to forage amongst the branches of Yggdrasil, climbing the tree itself to reach the leaves.[1]
Legacy and influence
In Asgard, Havi stumbled across Dáinn. After following him, the pair eventually met up with the other three deer, who lead him to Eikþyrnir who revealed a treasure chest.[2]
