Ezio, my friend! How may I be of service? This article has a lot of room for expansion. Please improve it with additional information in accordance with the Manual of Style |
The Wehrmacht (English: "defense force") was the unified armed forces of Nazi Germany from 1935 to 1945. The Wehrmacht consisted of the Heer (army), the Kriegsmarine (navy), and the Luftwaffe (air force).
History[edit | edit source]
In September 1940, during World War II, Eddie Gorm infiltrated the Wehrmacht in order to gather information on a secret Nazi project. During his defection, he served under Otto Hammerstein, who was operating in London undercover as "Jack Turpin". Gorm's friend Stan found out about Hammerstein's Nazi allegiance, and Eddie was forced to kill him in order to protect Hammerstein's cover and prove his own allegiance to the Nazis.[1]
By 1942, Eddie had risen up the ranks, incorporating himself into the Schutzstaffel and obtaining the rank of Untersturmführer. After a surprise meeting with General Gero Kramer, Eddie once again, reaffirmed his allegiance to their cause and cast aside any attachment to Britain.
