They call me many things: Murderer. Cutthroat. Thief. But you may call me The Galatian.

This article is about a subject that lacks an official name and is known only by its nickname, title, or alias.

The Galatian (died 48 BCE) was a member of the Phylakes who patrolled the Isolated Desert in Egypt with his fellow Phylakes, The Iron Bull, during the reign of Pharaoh Ptolemy XIII.

After the Medjay Bayek of Siwa assassinated the Phylakes' leader Gennadios,[1] the Phylakes were given orders to locate and hunt down Bayek. However, in 48 BCE, Bayek instead found and killed The Galatian, then claimed his bow "The Fourth Plague" and an ornamented key as rewards.[2]

Behind the scenes[edit | edit source]

The Galatians were Gallic people of the Hellenistic period that dwelt mainly in the north central regions of Asia Minor or Anatolia. They were employed as mercenaries by the Hellenistic powers, including Ptolemaic Egypt.

The Galatian and The Stranger use the same shield model, which portrays the Egyptian goddess Hathor's representation as a cow with Ra's solar disk between her horns, a Wadjet uraeus, and a necklace depicting a woman with cow ears, likely Hathor or Bat.
