Respect Thy Brother was a virtual representation of one of Bayek's genetic memories, relived by Layla Hassan through the Portable Animus HR-8.
Description[edit | edit source]
A Hidden One has died. Bayek must provide a decent burial.
Dialogue[edit | edit source]
While hunting for Ampelius in the Walls-of-the-Ruler, Bayek discovered the deceased body of Maqwat's partner, leaning onto a cage.
- Bayek: A Hidden One. We cannot leave his body to be treated like common refuse.
Bayek carried the Hidden One's body on his back.
- Bayek: I shall honor you, loyal servant to our creed.
He carried his body out of the fort and loaded it onto a mount, taking them to a safe area in the hills to the east overlooking the valley, where Maqwat awaited him. There, Bayek folded his fallen brother's Hidden Blade in his hands across his chest, laying him to rest.
- Bayek: Let Horus guide you to the field of reeds. And Amun stretch his light across your ka.
- Maqwat: I will stay with the Hidden One to see him off to the field of reeds. Thank you, Bayek.
Outcome[edit | edit source]
Bayek recovered the body of the slain Hidden One and brought his corpse to lay it to rest.
