Jumbe was a war elephant which was stationed and trained in the Roman military's camp located in the far east corner of Herakleion Nome.
In 48 BCE, the Medjay Bayek of Siwa, having learned of the location from the nearby Mithidrates Roman Camp, travelled to the camp and eliminated the war elephant before it could be deployed.[1]
Trivia[edit | edit source]
