Hequet is an Egyptian goddess of fertility, connected to the yearly flooding of the Nile. Due to this connection, she was regarded as Khnum's consort, and his counterpart.
In certain regions, Hequet was considered to be the one to grant the ka, the living soul, to people at birth.
