They call me many things: Murderer. Cutthroat. Thief. But you may call me Guardian (Pharos).

This article is about a subject that lacks an official name and is known only by its nickname, title, or alias.

The Guardian

The Guardian (died 47 BCE) was a Ptolemaic captain stationed at the Lighthouse of Alexandria on Pharos during the 1st century BCE. When the forces of Ptolemy XIII attacked Alexandria, Aya headed to the lighthouse to signal Julius Caesar's fleet, and faced the Guardian there. They fought while the large man hurled insults at Aya, and she responded in kind, killing him in the end.[1]
