The Gorges du Pont-du-Diable is a small valley beneath the Pont du Diable in France, near the border with Switzerland. By 2017, it housed a secret base run by Dr. Nathalie Chapman.

After her escape from Abstergo Industries, Nathalie Chapman set up many bases, one being in the Gorges du Pont-du Diable, where she installed her Animus Omega.[1] On 30 October 2017, Chapman revealed herself to be an "Assassin" to Tomo Sakagawa, who was posing as Dr. Florent Carpentier, and drove him to her base in the gorge. There, she explained her plans and asked for his help to decrypt Abstergo's files on Alekseï Gavrani. After Tomo cracked the files, he helped Chapman by reliving Gavrani's memories in her Animus Omega.[2]
Despite suffering from the Bleeding Effect, Tomo continued to explore Gavrani's past as Chapman watched over him.
