Het speaking to Bayek

Het was an Egyptian man who lived during the 1st century BCE. He was married to a woman named Anuke.

Biography[edit | edit source]

Het died at some point in the 1st century BCE. After his death, his soul resided in Aaru, one of the aspects of the Egyptian afterlife, and his wedding band was given to his wife as a memorial.[1]

Sometime later, Anuke herself died as well after being killed by a bandit. Het expected Anuke to join him in Aaru, but when she failed to do so, Het attempted various ways such as conducting a Ren ritual to bring her across. Eventually, he became exhausted by his attempts and believed he would never had the chance to be reunited with Anuke again.[1]

In 38 BCE, Het was greeted by the Hidden One Bayek of Siwa, who came to Aaru to put queen Nefertiti's soul to rest. Bayek agreed to help Het investigate the Lodge of Names and find out what had happened. Eventually, Bayek discovered that Anuke was wrongfully admitted under the name Yinepu. After collecting the materials needed for the Ren ritual, Bayek conducted the ritual in a brazier, successfully bringing Anuke across with Anubis permission. With this, Anuke thus joined Het.[1]
