Elephant Rock (Arabic: جبل الفيل)[1] is a rock formation in central Ramm Valley, al-Ula Valley. A sandstone outcrop of about 50 meters, it received its name due to its elephant-like shape.[2] In the 860s, during the Alamut Hidden One Basim ibn Ishaq's travels through the valley, he climbed the rock to better orient himself, taking note of other landmarks from above.[3]
