I see the merge template, and I was wondering about the proof that these characters were the same, cause even this page says "When Owen asked her if she was the mysterious Rothenburg, an Assassin mole in the Templars midst, Cole told him that she didn't knew what he was talking about. Later, Monroe explained to them that Cole helped them to repay a debt she owed him." - Soranin (talk) 12:35, 18 November 2022 (UTC)

Without explicit confirmation I am against the merge but do think they should be mentioned on each others’ pages as they already do. Lacrossedeamon (talk) 12:54, 18 November 2022 (UTC)
Just in the thrid novel. Grace found the proof when she was confront with Cole.一个赛艇门 (talk) 12:58, 18 November 2022 (UTC)
You’ve got a chapter for that? Lacrossedeamon (talk) 15:02, 18 November 2022 (UTC)
My Kindle unlimited service had been expired, I only remember this part was at the end of the novel. And I can only make sure that the Chinese edition mentions it.一个赛艇门 (talk) 15:29, 18 November 2022 (UTC)
So, I came up to the part where this part is mentioned. Grace states that she recognizes Cole as when Owen calls her Rothenburg: "One of the agents approached Grace, and she recognized the woman by her codename, Rothenburg, a Templar mole who had helped her escape from the Aerie with Monroe..." However, in the second book, she hears the name due to Owen theorizing Cole to be Rothenburg. Thus, there is no actual confirmation of her being a mole. So, still uncertain. So it just proves Cole is Rothenburg. "Rothenburg, a Templar mole who had helped her escape from the Aerie with Monroe..." This sentence is not a subjective opinion by Grace, but the narration of Cole's identity.塞垣雪 (talk) 02:43, 9 June 2025 (UTC)
I would agree, however these chapters are usually from pov's of the teenage characters. Also, it was because in the 2nd book, Owen outright claims Cole is Rothenburg in front of Monroe and Grace, but Cole remains unaffected by it. Also, it is a "Templar mole" not an Assassin spy as dictated in the first two books. Thus, still unknown unfortunately. Batfan13 (talk) 04:35, 9 June 2025 (UTC)
If Bruce Wayne got recognized as Batman by some snot-nosed kid, do you think he'd be like "wow you're awesome I'm going to make you Robin" or just snap "Oh Bullshit I never heard any Batman guy, stop spreading rumors"? The least, for Templars, if anyone is colluding with the Assassins, wouldn’t it be fair to call such an Assassin spy a Templar mole? 塞垣雪 (talk) 06:26, 9 June 2025 (UTC)
She is a mole for Sebastian Monroe as stated in the 2nd book. Until we get actual confirmation, like Cole saying she works for the Assassins or her confirming that she is Rothenburg, Grace's pov is insufficient. Trust me, I read these books at these parts multiple times. We will have to wait. Batfan13 (talk) 14:52, 9 June 2025 (UTC)
I also read through the pertinent passages and think its too vague and/or ambiguous to me. Grace is just recalling that Owen asked if Cole was Rothenburg but neither Monroe or Griffin confirmed that. It is weird because Monroe does call use the name Cole so you'd think that's what Grace would think of her as. So it could be the author trying to confirm it for us but without an explicit statement from him (and he's no longer on twitter, not sure about bluesky) it's not enough IMO. Because alternatively Rothenburg could be Victoria given her next appearance in Odyssey but that feels more like a Quebec asspull rather than something properly foreshadowed. I tried looking for a real world connection between the names and came up with nothing other than Rothenburg being German for "red castle". I do think there is enough her to put into a BTS on the Rothenburg page though. I'll ask other editors if they agree with 塞垣雪 read on this and we can reevaluate from there. I can email Matt if we want. VilkaIsBack (talk) 04:30, 10 June 2025 (UTC)
