Geographical wonkiness

Well, lakes and rivers can bend and shift in a time span of 1100+ years. Easily explainable I think.VilkaIsBack (talk) 03:47, 15 June 2024 (UTC)

It's a mostly fictional lake based on a feature 10 miles away from Wenlocan. This is like Torghatten Rock being directly west of Alrekstad in game. Lacrossedeamon (talk) 04:50, 15 June 2024 (UTC)

Because the whole planet's size and features would be severely distorted if we treat Animus simulation maps as canonical to the real Assassin's Creed world, we should always refer to real geography over Animus or game geography. That doesn't mean we can't interpret the Animus simulations as showing us some things about how a place really looked like Assassin's Creed in a certain period though (e.g. how the Library of Alexandria "really" looked like). Relative distances and positions is what we should be most careful about. Is it necessary to describe Wenlocan Abbey in detail relation to Dunmastun Lake more closely? The lede sounds fine to me as it is right now. Sol Pacificus^(Cyfiero) 22:47, 4 October 2024 (UTC)

Yeah not really sure what I thought was objectionable here since it's not being described as directly on the shore of the lake in the lede. That being said should we try to get a picture that doesn't include said lake (and the yellow/gold raid marker)? Lacrossedeamon (talk) 05:00, 5 October 2024 (UTC)
