Name and Content[edit source]

While the map icon does say "Treasure of Britain" for these, the treasures never actually make an appearance as far as I’m aware just the tablets. Should we rename the article to reflect that and adjust the intro? It would also allow us to address the fact there is 13 treasures but only 11 tablets. I did add in the intro about the tablets and the BtS addresses the 13 vs 11 treasures issue. V i l k a T h e W o l f (talk) 04:48, 5 December 2020 (UTC)
Yeah I’m tracking that but I think the article name and categories are still misleading. Obviously we can use the BtS to note Treasures that aren't mentioned in the game but my way let’s us address the numerical discrepancy in the main body of the article. What would the other name be? Because, if as you said, this is the name used in game, I don't see actual reason to change, not when this info can be incorporated into the article. - Soranin (talk) 02:47, 11 December 2020 (UTC)
I would rename it to Treasure of Britain tablets because that's how they actually appear in game. Eivor is not collecting the Treasures but tablets that represent some of them. Lacrossedeamon (talk) 03:01, 11 December 2020 (UTC)

Wouldn't that be a conjectural name then? IMO it should stay as "Treasures of Britain" and then note that Eivor collected tablets inscribed with the treasures. V i l k a T h e W o l f (talk) 01:30, 12 December 2020 (UTC)

I agree with Vilka. - Soranin (talk) 01:34, 12 December 2020 (UTC)
I think a conjectural title is better than a misleading erroneous title. I'll draft a sandbox page for how I'd word the page for y'all to look over.
https://assassinscreed.fandom.com/wiki/User:Lacrossedeamon/Treasure_of_Britain_tablets proposed changes. I would also like to note that only 8 of the items get labeled with the "Treasure of Britain" icons on the map making either name conjectural in that regard. Lacrossedeamon (talk) 04:38, 12 December 2020 (UTC)
I think replacing an official title with a speculative one to adjust to real world info is mostly unnecessary. And I do not agree that it is a misleading title, either. That is what the game identifies them at, nothing misleading about it. Most of the info included in your sandbox could be included without moving the page to a speculative name, as well. I think this should stay as is. — Zero-ELEC (talk) 18:24, 12 December 2020 (UTC)
Fair enough. While I think the current title is just as speculative if not erroneous, I see which way the wind is blowing. Lacrossedeamon (talk) 02:21, 13 December 2020 (UTC)

Just bumping because I'm lost despite the above discussion: Why do we have separate pages for the tablet and the artifacts if both have the same tablet icons, especially since there's no way to get images for what items Eivor does find? (eg. the drinking horn) – Darman (talk) 04:15, 14 January 2021 (UTC)

Part of the problem was that this page and the resulting discussion was created before we played through the game and understood everything which is why stuff like the number keeps being edited. The only Treasure that appears in game is Excalibur; it is unlocked by tablets that represent the 12 other treasures but those treasures themselves don't make appearances and Eivor only collects said tablets. Maybe they once did early in development but for now all that is in the game is the tablets and Excalibur. Lacrossedeamon (talk) 04:30, 14 January 2021 (UTC)
OK, thanks. So if we can't get images of the real drinking horn, chess board, etc, why not merge the pages? They seem basically identical to me in terms of information. – Darman (talk) 04:35, 14 January 2021 (UTC)
