Rename

Could probably just rename this to "Georgia (state)" no need for "U.S." dont even think theres any state anywhere else called Georgia. VilkaIsBack (talk) 06:12, 10 November 2023 (UTC)

Since wikipedia uses Georgia (U.S. state) as the title of their article I say we leave as is. Lacrossedeamon (talk) 07:27, 10 November 2023 (UTC)

Vilka has a point that we don't always have to use the same disambiguation term or title as the Wikipedia article. However, the scientific definition of state also applies to the country of Georgia, and outside of political science, this usage is still commonly found whenever global politics is discussed, like in the news. (U.S. states are called states in the first place because they were originally envisioned as their own countries.) So I prefer we keep it at "U.S. state", and it doesn't even extend the disambiguation term that much. Sol Pacificus^(Cyfiero) 07:47, 10 November 2023 (UTC)
