Only going to bring this up here rather than on all the applicable pages. I think the idea that Jacob sent Assassins to impersonate the historical prostitute victims is a misinterpretation of what is going on. I think the correct read is that the historic IRL prostitute were also Assassins in the lore. Jack was specifically targeting Assassins loyal to Jacob, the intended targets were because they were Assassins, not prostitutes. We should either merge if necessary or just delete the non Assassin pages. Lacrossedeamon (talk) 09:47, 17 November 2023 (UTC)

I do believe that Mary Ann Nichols the prostitute and Mary Ann Nichols the Asssassin are different women. Abberline says as much in the memory "Autumn of Terror"; and since the one killed wore an Assassin ring, it's implied that Jacob sent the real Mary Ann Nichols away for the Assassin to take her place (so someone should probably remove her date of death as 31 August 1888 on her page). But whether this is also the case for the other women it's not confirmed as far as I know. Gener4l Cl4ank4 (talk) 15:59, 19 April 2024 (UTC)
Okay, I watched the memories on YT and read the related content here. Jack's victims (from the 2nd to the 4th) are Assassins sent to impersonate the IRL prostitues, this as mentioned by Shaun in the databases and corroborated by Evie where she found more Assassin rings. The only one that has no relation to the Brotherhood whatsoever is Mary Jane, Jack's last victim. Now, I think Shaun being doubtful in the databases is something intended by the writer to help the player to connect the dots with what is shown in the memories. With these players come to the conslussion that "oh, the real ones were very far from here". Also, I think the Syndicate team did it that way for respect to the victims or something like that. I wouldn't go for a merge.Cristophorus35 (talk) 00:04, 21 April 2024 (UTC)
It's not corroborated by Evie though. She finds the rings meaning the women killed were Assassins but nothing in the memories implies that those Assassin were operating under assumed identities or that Jacob specifically sent women away. Shaun speculates/hopes as much so it could be noted in a legacy section but I don't think it warrants separate pages. As for Abberline nothing he says is explicit so it can be interpreted a few different ways. Lacrossedeamon (talk) 03:55, 21 April 2024 (UTC)
I would say the intention of the writer is to make us think that "since the first was an Assassin impersonating someone, the others also must be impersonators", but it is as you say as well, the thing can be interpreted in different ways, which is one of the reasons I don't like this DLC much.Cristophorus35 (talk) 05:38, 22 April 2024 (UTC)
