Talk:Aguilar's Apple of Eden
Image[edit source]
I don't think we should be using a gentheric image of an Apple of Eden for his article. For one thing, that's like using the image of Desmond's Toyota RAV-4 for Rebecca's Toyota RAV-4, in a hypothetical situation where they both have identical-looking Toyota RAV-4s. Their cars might be identical, and it might accurate show how Toyota's RAV-4 looks like, but it's not her RAV-4.
Perhaps a better reason though is that the Apple of Eden from the film looks rather different. It has more of a silver sheen (if not outright dark grey) and the etchings and symbols on it are different. Not all Apple of Edens actually look alike. Apple of Eden 1, retrieved by Arno, was actually smaller than the other Apples of Eden, for example.
I'm sure that when we have more images of it from the movie, we'd end up replacing the image with a proper one, but perhaps until then, we shouldn't have this image up either. Sol Pacificus(Cyfiero) 08:24, January 3, 2017 (UTC)
Redirected from Apple of Eden 6[edit source]
If we're going to decide to have Apple of Edens 6 & 7, non-canonical designations, and redirect the former here, why shouldn't Apple of Eden 6 redirect to Ezio's Apple of Eden instead and #7 here? Ezio's Apple of Eden appears before this one in the reference box after all. Sol Pacificus(Cyfiero) 08:24, January 3, 2017 (UTC)
- The reason Apple of Eden 6 redirects here is because the page was named as such by the original creator, following which the article was renamed to the less assuming "Aguilar's Apple of Eden". The redirect is simply a remnant of that and should probably be removed to avoid confusion. Crook The Constantine District 10:00, January 3, 2017 (UTC)

Image 2.0[edit source]
Alright, I'm sure Sol's going to be happy about this. So the twitter account for Fox's Singapore division (I don't know how movie distributers work) posted this image earlier today, giving us a first official image of the Apple used in the movie. I already have it rendered out, but I figured I'd put it to the community anyways: should we use this image in place of the default Apple image that's currently on the article?
My gripe with the image is that the scratches and markings look so wayward, it ãlmost feels like it was thrown together. I will have to check whether the Apple in the movie actually looks like that. Additionally, the image does show this Apple as having a reddish-gold hue, whereas the one in the movie seemed to be silver in colour. Further complicating that matter is that the novelization at one point describes the Apple as red (my instinctive reaction was to shout at the book: "It's not a literal apple!"). So yes, opinions would be appreciated :) Crook The Constantine District 14:45, January 11, 2017 (UTC)
Why not a photo of the commercial apple that is more or less exact replica? http://store.ubi.com/es/assassin-s-creed--movie--apple-of-eden/57fe697dadc724cd468b4567.html 90.69.211.81 14:58, January 11, 2017 (UTC)
- Okay, the Ubisoft store has been really weird for me lately. Any links get redirected into infinity causing the hyperlink to fail. Is this the one you mean? If not, please upload the image you're talking about on the wiki ^^; Crook The Constantine District 15:06, January 11, 2017 (UTC)

- I found this image (also from the Ubisoft Store):

- Wow, that Apple looks almost burned O.o I'm personally not sure which one would be best to be honest... Crook The Constantine District 19:30, January 11, 2017 (UTC)
- To be honest, they're both not even close to what the Apple looks like in the movie. Anyway, I like the glowy effect and color of the one I linked, but the other image looks more like an Apple I guess? (Flash (talk) 21:01, January 11, 2017 (UTC))
- Yeah, both are bad, though the Ubi store replica was the one I was originally thinking we might use. I kind of think the one given by the Twitter account is so low quality that it seems like someone just drew a circle and added some texture xD. But at close view, the Ubi store one is clearly a toy. I might prefer to keep the current version we have, but I'm just not sure if it's technically correct since it's not really the image of this particular Apple of Eden. - Why not use an actual image from the movie? I would actually recommend we use in-universe images all POEs. We can keep the generic images for the main pages (such as the page about Apples of Eden in general), but use more specific images in the pages about specific PEOs (i.e. we use an image of Arno holding AOE #1 on the page Apple of Eden 1).
