Taha Pasha was a vizier who served under Sultan Bayezid II of the Ottoman Empire.
History[edit | edit source]
In 1509, due to the recent earthquake, Vizier Pasha accompanied Sultan Bayezid to his palace in Adrianople. However, he grew tiresome and cautious over the failing health of the Sultan and decided to support Selim rather than Prince Ahmet as his successor. While stationed at the palace, he also corresponded with the Ottoman Assassins to protect the Sultan from any attacks from the Byzantine Templars.[1]
