Ryan Amon
Ryan Amon (born c. 1979) is an American composer who worked on Assassin's Creed: Unity. He founded the film trailer music company City of the Fallen, before making his film soundtrack debut with 2013's Elysium.

Early life[edit | edit source]
Ryan Amon was born in Elkhorn, Wisconsin in 1979, where he learned to play classical piano and saxophone and later began composing music. In 2003, after he received the Pete Carpenter Fellowship from BMI, where he studied under composer Mike Post, Ryan moved to Los Angeles and soon became an additional music composer for numerous television series.[2]
Assassin's Creed[edit | edit source]
In early 2014, Ryan was hired by Ubisoft to compose additional tracks for the soundtrack to the video game Assassin's Creed: Unity. Alongside American composers Chris Tilton and Sarah Schachner, the trio of composers were flown to Montreal where they were giving an understanding of the game the themes present. While making the soundtrack they saved each track with their assets separate so that the developer's could adjust them as needed. Most of Ryan's tracks focused on the more modern aspects of the game. The three composers were given general guidelines but other than that, the developer's left them to their own devices.[3]
The soundtrack for Unity was released in three separate volumes. The third of which contained bonus tracks from the game written and composed by Ryan. The track "Rite of Passage" was co-composed with Chris Tilton.[4] An exclusive edition of the Unity soundtrack was included in the Bastille, Collector's, Guillotine, and Notre-Dame editions of the game.
Personal life[edit | edit source]
Ryan is a devote Christian and says his faith inspires his music.[2] He later moved to South America, where he met and married his Bolivian wife, Carla Rodriguez, and lived with her family. In 2013, when he composed for the film Elysium he moved to Washington, D.C. to be with his family.[1]
