Pierre Duclos was the son of Valérie Duclos and a descendant of Catherine Monvoisin, also known as the poisoner "La Voisin" ("The Neighbor").[1]
Biography[edit | edit source]
During the French Revolution and after his father's untimely death, Pierre received financial payments due to his father's will with the help from family friend Georges Villiers-Segonzac. However, his mother was enraged and contested the will, only to fail at every end. To make matters worse, an old friend of Valérie, Lucille Thucet, began a romantic relationship with Pierre, despite their age difference. Enamored, Pierre was accosted by his mother, who accused Lucille of being after the fortune herself.[2]
Dinner party murder[edit | edit source]
During a dinner party, Pierre was one of the guest in attendance while he witnessed his mother die in the garden. Fortunately, the French Assassin Arno Dorian came and started to investigate, even by talking to everyone including Pierre. Despite his mother being dead, he rejoiced at the fact that he and Lucille could be together without any resistance. After gathering all of the clues, Arno deduced that Pierre's aunt Amélie Monvoisin was the killer and how she used her family poison recipe to kill Valérie and even framed Georges. Thus, Arno took her to jail.[2]
