Jacques de Molay's advisor

Jacques de Molay's advisor (died 1307) was a member of the Knights Templar who served under Grand Master Jacques de Molay. He was killed by the French Assassins during the Friday 13 raids.

By 2014, Abstergo Industries had acquired a sample of the advisor's DNA and incorporated his memories of the raid—ordered by King Philip IV, after coercion by the French Assassins' Mentor Thomas de Carneillon, on the Temple—as promotional launch material for the Helix Navigator, in order to market the technology's virtual experience aspect.

Biography

On 13 October 1307, Grand Master de Molay tasked his advisor to hide a Sword of Eden and the Codex Pater Intellectus during an attack by the forces of King Philip. The Templar was successful in his mission, but was killed by the Master Assassin Thomas de Carneillon shortly after.

In 2014, the Helix Initiate explored a representation of the advisor's memories in the Helix before transitioning onto the memories of the French nobleman Arno Dorian with Bishop's aid.

Behind the scenes

This unnamed advisor from the 2014 video game Assassin's Creed: Unity is one of three playable Templars in the Assassin's Creed series' main campaigns, with the other two being the Colonial Templars Haytham Kenway in Assassin's Creed III (2012) and Shay Cormac in Assassin's Creed: Rogue (2014).
