The Chasuriyama Kofun is a kofun situated in Chasuriyama in Tamba, Japan.
History[edit | edit source]
In 1582, the Kakushiba ikki member and shinobi Fujibayashi Naoe met fellow league member Yagoro at the kofun as he wondered about the treasure the children talked about earlier. Encouraging him to venture the tomb himself, Naoe watched Yagoro enter before following him. While in the tomb, she saw the tomb was another Kakushiba ikki outpost and found notes from Fubuki, who detailed her time in Ikuno and the impression that a young Yagoro left on her. Venturing forward, she found Yagoro, who found an intact hidden blade, on a podium.[1]
Telling him to try it on, Naoe saw him waver while Yagoro asked for an official ceremony. A bit stifled, Naoe permitted an impromptu ceremony and handed the hidden blade to Yagoro for his progress and the promise of being part of the Kakushiba ikki. Thanking Naoe, Yagoro wanted to take the blade back to the homestead as he had grown comfortable with his own blade. Understanding, Naoe and Yagoro left the tomb and headed home.[1] At some point, Naoe returned and ventured further through the kofun, found a treasure chest, and recovered a tantō Scarlet Fate.[2]
