CERN

The European Organization for Nuclear Research (Organisation européenne pour la recherche nucléaire), also known as CERN (from the older organization Conseil Européen pour la Recherche Nucléaire) is one of the world's largest and most prestigious centers for scientific research in the field of particle physics founded in 1954. Located near Geneva on the Franco–Swiss border, CERN operates the Large Hadron Collider (LHC), the world's most powerful particle accelerator, and is dedicated to exploring the fundamental structure of the universe by studying the interactions of subatomic particles.

History

In October 2018, the Assassin Layla Hassan boasted to Victoria Bibeau that her highly modified Brahman-variant Animus HR-8.5 console had more calculating power than both NASA and CERN combined as she'd pushed the I/O capacities to their max among other things.
