The Longest Day was a virtual representation of one of Wei Yu's disciple's genetic memories relived through the Animus.

The disciple woke up to see that their village was being attacked by a group of soldiers.
Dialogue[edit | edit source]
Woken up by screams, you rush out of your house to see Jade Spring Village burning at the hands of Qin soldiers in purple uniforms. You rush forward, looking for Chu Huan and hoping to save whoever you can.
The youxia killed a few troops. They hear an interrogation taking place around the corner.
- Villager 1: Please... no more... please... I don't know anything...
- Qin soldier 1: Tell us where the treasure is!
- Villager 2: Please, I don't know what you're talking about!
- Qin soldier 2: Where have you hidden the treasure? You can't hide it forever!
- Villager 3: We know nothing of a treasure!
She spotted a row of three villagers taken prisoner by a Qin soldier. He executed the third one just before the youxia is able to reach him.
- Wei Yu's disciple: No! Dammit.
They killed the soldier from behind and proceeded deeper into the village, stealthily eliminating more prowling soldiers along the way.
- Wei Yu's disciple: Brother lives just ahead. I hope I get there in time.
Who ordered the Qin soldiers to attack us? This is unheard of.
The youxia entered Chu Huan's house, finding it empty with its rear exit blocked by furniture.
- Wei Yu's disciple: Chu Huan must have snuck out from there. He might have gone to Yingying's place.
They moved it out of the way and exited the house just in time to see a soldier finishing Ji Wei off.
- Qin soldier 3: I expected more of a fight. Where are the youxia who protect this village?
The soldier started walking over to his two comrades near a fire, close to several imprisoned civilians, but theyouxia killed all the three of them, freeing the villagers, who fled for their lives.
- Villager 4: Thank you, thank you!
Wei Yu's disciple then approached Yu Ying's house.
- Wei Yu's disciple: That's her house. I hope I'm not too late.
I need to get rid of these soldiers.
A soldier outside Yu Ying's house threatened the occupants inside.
- Qin soldier 4: Come out now! I know the lot of you are inside!
- Yu Ying: Get lost! There are only children here, you monster. Are you going to kill us all?
The disciple killed all the soldiers in the vicinity. The people sheltering inside opened the door for them. Inside, the youxia found Yu Ying tending to one of the injured.
- Yu Ying: You're here! Chu Huan went ahead to the main hall, you have to help him!
- Wei Yu's disciple: Get the rest to safety. We'll reconvene at your safe house. Leave Chu Huan to me.
They broke the latch of the house's back exit and left for the village's main hall, where Chu Huan was outside embroiled in a skirmish with five purple-uniformed soldiers, one of them a great axeman. Together, the two youxia vanquished the group of enemies.
- Chu Huan: You made it. These Qin soldiers seem to be after something in the warehouse.
- Wei Yu's disciple: The treasure we took from the palace.
- Chu Huan: You go to the warehouse. I'm going to see if I can grab some of my wine—
- Wei Yu's disciple: You're crazy. There's no time for that. Choose now, wine of life!
- Chu Huan: I—Fine!
The pair entered the warehouse and inspected its contents, with the disciple checking the shelf where they had placed the treasure earlier.
- Wei Yu's disciple: The treasure isn't here!
They then followed their friend down a staircase to the lower level, which led into a tunnel.
- Wei Yu's disciple: I've never seen Qin soldiers in purple before.
- Chu Huan: A new military department perhaps. We'll figure out who sent them when we're safe.
- Wei Yu's disciple: If they were really dispatched to find the treasure we stole...
- Chu Huan: We don't know that yet. They could be attacking for any other reason.
The tunnel led into a large room. The siblings passed through a crack in one of the walls to reach a cave.
- Chu Huan: Where's Yingying?
- Wei Yu's disciple: She's bringing the rest to safety. We agreed to meet at her safe house.
- Chu Huan: That place won't remain safe for long... We'll have to find another location when we regroup.
- Wei Yu's disciple: I can't run off by myself. The village needs my help!
The two leave the cave by stepping through a waterfall.
As you step through the waterfall, the enemy commander descends upon you, blade drawn. Chu Huan throws you aside and gets impaled in your stead. Numerous purple-clad Qin soldiers appear around you, forcing you to run, leaving the lifeless eyes of your sworn brother behind and the face of his murderer burned into your memory.
Outcome[edit | edit source]
Jade Spring was assaulted by an army of Qin soldiers in retaliation for the youxia's theft of a treasure from Yangzhou Palace the previous day. The casualties on both sides were heavy, with Chu Huan and his sworn sibling killing most of the immediate attackers, but the former ultimately died saving his sibling's life from the Qin commander. The survivors fled their village.
