Karl Richard Lepsius

Karl Richard Lepsius (1810 – 1884) was a Prussian archaeologist and Egyptologist.

Biography[edit | edit source]

In 1843, during an expedition in the Faiyum, Lepsius explored the site of Amenemhat III's pyramid. British archeologist Flinders Petrie would do the same some time later.^[1]
