Bureau names
I was going through some of my old school stuff and I came across my Arabic notes. Turns out, the plural of Rafiq is Rafiqan (pronounced Raa-fi-kaan) and the feminine form is Rafiqa or Rafiqah (phonetic spelling, so you get to choose =P). The meaning remains the same but the current system is slightly inaccurate in terms of grammar, and might be considered a little sexist. You guys might want to fix it. Thanks =) ~ GI Auditore Comms Channel 16:53, August 19, 2012 (UTC)
- I see. Well, can you fix it or is it protected? -- Master Sima Yi Talk 17:06, August 19, 2012 (UTC)
- You want me to do the rewording? Sure I guess. I'll just need a few links to the pages that may require rewording, and it seems as though I should be able to edit them without protection issues. ~ GI Auditore Comms Channel 17:11, August 19, 2012 (UTC)
- I don't know all the pages it's misspelled on, if there are any. I assumed you spotted the errors. -- Master Sima Yi Talk 19:50, August 19, 2012 (UTC)
- I would go for the male form, simply because all the Bureau leaders were male (even in the Fall epilogue), and we haven't seen a female one so far. Slate Vesper (talk) 20:07, August 19, 2012 (UTC)
- I meant in the staff pages Slate. I'm heading out right now so I'll work on them when I get back =) ~ GI Auditore Comms Channel 01:02, August 20, 2012 (UTC)
It is done, Mentor. Hope I didn't mess anything up. =) ~ GI Auditore Comms Channel 12:22, August 20, 2012 (UTC)
Not to spoil anything, but rafiqan is not plural, it's what we use to say two "rafiqs", the plural form would be rifaq for male, and rafiqat for female. Quite late, I know, but I just noticed this conversation. Shrt Fngr Talk 21:20, August 22, 2012 (UTC)
Hmm, well, Arabic isn't my first language, and I studied it many years ago, so I'll defer to your opinion on that matter. If you're sure about it, take Sima's permission and edit out the pages. ~ GI Auditore Comms Channel 00:23, August 23, 2012 (UTC)
Well that's why I said it. Sima, should I do it? Shrt Fngr Talk 09:32, August 23, 2012 (UTC)
Fan-fiction
Well. Okay so in fan-fiction stories can you include characters like Desmond? I know you can't really expand an actual character's storyline but, meh.
BoomDraw (talk) 10:33, August 20, 2012 (UTC)
Yes you can. Any details that try to change what's been established in the game's canon material will make the Fanon article "Fan-NonCanon" though. Slate Vesper (talk) 10:48, August 20, 2012 (UTC)

- Hello! I don't think I have received an email yet, but we still plan on holding a contest, but we have not yet decided when and what about. I have to get some time to catch up with Vatsa first and then I will get back to you. -- Master Sima Yi Talk 21:07, August 22, 2012 (UTC)
