Nomination

You should actually try and get noticed instead of asking around like this, do some major edits like contributing/creating a whole page towards one of our wiki projects, or ask the Admins/other Istruttore if they need help with something major. I couldn't agree more with The Thief. Make some major edits to get yourself noticed. For example, check out the Category:Articles revamp and see if you can get yourself noticed by all the admins by revamping some of those articles, or something else if you want to. How can you move pictures?

I assume that you use the new wikia editing form. If you click the "Source" button on the top right of the editing section, you can use the old editing form. NASA Project

I stumbled upon this article while looking for a pronunciation of Altair's full name.

The interesting thing is that NASA is a Templar company while Altair was an assassin. So perhaps they are stealing from the Brotherhood. :)

But it sounds like they are testing a year before the in-game Templars are launching their PoE satellite. Perhaps this is proof of the templars in real life. hahahahaha

Sourcless Template

Hey Sima,

Would you think it better to replace this with a more, neater and less bulky (IMO) version?

I honestly think that the current sourcless template is waaay to bulky, sourcing is just as important as article stubs, so why does one have to be huge while the other is a small reminder to an editor?

Plus, the template looks horrible on articles, look at the Brotherhood article, it doesn't look that good with two huge badges on the top of it, so if one was small it would be much, much more neater. Do you agree? :D The Thief 09:33, September 10, 2010 (UTC)

renaming of titles

I saw you renamed AC brotherhood. I can understand the logic in it. To me it doesn't matter either way. But other titles such as Assassin's Creed: Bloodlines should also be renamed imo so they fit together. Or we change Brotherhood back to its original. After all what does it matter. It's just a title. What matters is that these articles are easy to be found. Altaïr 20:33, September 12, 2010 (UTC)

We also strive for accuracy, including titles. Ubisoft always refers to it as "Assassin's Creed Brotherhood", not "Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood". And yes, we should also do the same for the others. Does one colon really matter, though? :P We've got the colon in most of the other titles, articles, categories, other games, links, redirects already. You're going to need to rename them all just for one little thing? XD Colons in titles are meant to seperate the episode from the series, so I'm not sure myself why Ubi doesn't have a colon (It really should/must have a colon [Wikipedia], even though we strive for accuracy, I just think Patrice doesn't understand what a colon is, lmao. Savonarola's Lieutenants

Hey Master-Sima-Yi. :D

I'm just leaving this note here as to inquire why the lieutenants' titles were moved to start with a lowercase?

Because, in this case, the names should be capitals, due to the fact that it's a title given by Savonarola and not an average job/civilian type of thing. Since we don't know their real names, we'd have to go by the respective title given by Sav and in-game canon. They are not 'an average civilian', they are 'The Civilian'. For instance, we don't call The Fox (La Volpe), The fox (La volpe), right?, if it's a title someone is known by, like 'The Old Man of the Mountain', then most words (excluding average words; like of and a) should be capitals.

Those names aren't given at all in the game. It just says, for example, "Assassinate the beguilded artist.", nothing about "The Painter". But if you really think so, you can move them back. -- Master Sima Yi 08:20, September 19, 2010 (UTC)

Cosimo de' Medici article deletion

New Istruttori Promotion Concept

Daniel Cross

Hey Master Sima, I have an image of Daniel Cross from The Fall's issue #1 comic that we can use as a placeholder image for him, but I'm not sure how to add it to the template on the side of his page (and honestly, I want to so the page can both have an image, even as a placeholder for a better one, and so I can get my picture achievement. It's for a good cause, after all.), can you help?

Chapter 4 states this "Lucrezia Borgia lives in the San Sisto convent while her father, Pope Alexander VI, plots her next marriage. They believe me to be a mere courier, but my true loyalty lies with their sworn enemy." Having that line in mind I'm pretty sure he was refering to the sworn enemy as the Order and that he was working for the Borgia. Can't find that part now but I also recall a line where something along these line that since he was a courier for the pope he could sweep some presents for Lucrezia or something long these line. Mary I as a Templar

I don't have an actual source I guess I made an inference because the Templars were pro-Catholic and Mary I was a devout Catholic. She burned Protestants at the stake and made great efforts to bring England to Catholicism. I just put two and two together. That's all the proof I have. It seemed to me to make sense.

There is one thing that worries me, Fall will be selled in comic book stores in America, what about other countries? After the three issues have been released to you think that they will be sold on the internet? Treasure Chests

Mario Auditore

I'm not sure if it was you, but on the Mario Auditore page it said that after Ezio and Mario escape from Rome and the siege of Monteriggioni, Cesare decided to keep Mario prisoner at the last minute, how did someone know that or make that kind of theory!? Mario Auditore is dead. Cesare shot him point-blank in the back of the head with a flintlock pistol, there's no surviving that. What I'm most excited about is the storyline, as I am with any game. What I dislike so far is the new combat system, it seems like Ezio can kill any enemy with one swing of his weapon. Well, Campbell. You're Istruttore now so I don't see why you need to contact staff to give out warnings, all you have to do is slap the warning templates ( {{Warn1}}, {{Warn2}}, etc ) on his page and argue with the guy. Altough I appreciate the interest everyone takes on those subjects, this user spam must stop. Someone insulted Campbel, he ALONE should deal with the guy. If the guy continues to be offensive after trying to contact him, Campbell then bring it to staff members attention who will put a warning on his page. Given that Campbell is now a low-tier staff member, he can put the warning himself. I don't want to see users, staff or not, going to a offender page and saying "hey, I know you're new, but you shouldn't blabla", this is over crowded and unecessary. Need help

Hi i was editing Rome pack of Project legacy, Chapter three. While i had written every thing from a memory i accidently hit the previous page button, so all work wasted. However i made some guess and wrote again almost accurately, when you start playing Chapter 3 - Longshot, please edit the first few sentences of the memory "Spacemen." Sorry for the mess.. Brotherhood

It's a great game. In terms of gameplay, AC: Brotherhood clearly is better. Though the game's story was a bit short and seemed a little rushed. I feel like I got to know each of the targets more in AC II than in AC: Brotherhood. And yes, Lucy is definetely dead. If she didn't die from the stab itself, then she would've bleeded to death. The Siege of Viana was still a bit too... easy. It wasn't as challenging as expected. It was also a little too short for my liking. In my opinion, we should've had a full sequence set in Viana/Spain, to get to know a bit more about the situation, instead of jumping right into the battle. It was a bit short, it would be good to see Ezio tracking down Cesare from 1504 - 1507 in which he could visit the prison Cesare was kept in after his arrest and exile to Spain, to retrace Cesare's escape and his intention. But it did seem very realistic with the cannons and siege towers, but Ezio could have killed Cesare in more epic way. What do you think of the way he killed Cesare and how it could of been improved. How do you know I'm not legally allowed to play Assassin's Creed? oO Anyways: I'm not a fan of multiplayer in general. In my opinion, it just takes up disc space which could be used for more singleplayer content. That said, I have to say that ACBH's multiplayer is quite innovative and refreshing from multiplayer modes in other games. I have only played it once in the core game, though, and quite a few times in the beta. I'm pretty sure that once you played the multiplayer mode, you'll quickly go back as it gets quite repetitive after a while. And Red Dead Redemption isn't comparable to Brotherhood. The only game you can compare it to is GTA. And it's simply a great game: good storyline, great atmosphere, great gameplay. Machiavelli and Mario (Grand Master)

Hi,

I have been wondering lately how and when does it even say that Machiavelli is Grand Master, In Brotherhood i also thought he and Ezio where just co-running as stand in GMs until one was appointed, which turned out to be Ezio.

Also some people are suggesting that Machiavelli was GM in ACII, Well i doubt an Assassin of 19 would have the experience to lead the assassins and so i always thought it was Mario and then at his death, there was no more GM until Ezio was appointed, Can you clear this up for more as to which of the three were GM and when they were?

Machiavelli is revealed to have been the Grand Master in his database entry in Brotherhood. He passed the position on to Ezio as he thought Ezio deserved it more than he did. I personally also think that Mario was the Grand Master before Machiavelli, but seeing as this isn't mentioned in any of the games, this is just speculation and musn't be featured on any article. The fact given in game is he is 'de facto leader' wich means is a by fact the leader but unofficial, and by fact in game Ezio has common Respect amongst his fellow members who regard him as a leader therefore he too was a 'de facto leader', they all ask what he thinks should be done, they all follow what he says, yet he was not named leader until of course 1503. therefore there was three years of two unofficial leaders, this is not fan speculation it is what has happened in game...and a side note the info collected for the novel was given by such AC writers as Corey May and Jeffrey Yohalem. I'm going to address this one for you, Sima, since you're not on at the present. That would be completely pointless. There are simply way too many assassin apprentices to even bother making that many pages, nevermind that they all have similar stories of -how- they became apprentices in the first place. Why would I delete your page simply because 'I think I'm better than you'?! And I find such a suggestion very offensive and hurtfull. Let me explain what is wrong with the article and why I deleted it:

1. The title was too long and out of place. If you want to include the Brotherhood emails, put them in the Emails article. We don't need the conversations anyways, we didn't do it for Assassin's Creed II either. Then we should include the conversations with Ezio as well and that takes up too much of everyone's time and wiki space.
2. Look at all the other articles. See how they're written. They start with the article name in bold letters and explain something about it, then continue on to the actual article. You include a little bit of information, rephrase the explanation of the article and say that other members can edit to it. You never put community information on an article, let alone something as obvious as that other members can edit it. It's not your article, it's the wiki's article, everyone may edit everything.

Working Revamp Template

Hey there Sima Yi. I have this idea for a template, but first, let me ask you a question: Have you ever had an edit conflict, where you were just about done with a major revamp, and then you get Edit Conflict on your screen? To add to that, was that edit from another user in said edit conflict as major as yours? Well, I myself have been in said situation. More than once I might add. And with that, I propose this solution:

I have here, in my sandbox (put under the General Templates section) a template, still written in code, put in the same format as the stub and sourceless articles. What it's supposed to do is warn users who might think of editing a page (lets say he/she is editing it to correct a minor spelling error, or add a minor link to a piece of text) with the warning plastered on it, so as to not cause any more nuisances to the editor at work (who is working on a major revamp for the page). The image put in there may seem cosmetic, but it's there for a reason. Users who stalk the Wiki Activity feed will see the image from the feed if the template is put on a page. So, it's like a warning-in-advance.

All in all, I think it's a good idea. But that's just me. I have to ask before I make the template official to run some tests with the code: What say you?

In the Book; ACB In the time between the Pope being killed and Ezio killing Cesear if i remember right this is between 1503-1506, Claudia gets attacked by a few 'Diehard Borgia followers' after this Claudia steps down from the Madam of Rosa in Fiore. After this Happening La Volpe contacts Antonio to ask for Rosa as the new Madam. Is this something that can be put onto her page? and of course the attack on Claudia? The other notable things happening in this time, that the game does not talk about is Maria dying of a 'long term illness' and Cesaer killing Micheletto for his failure in restoring an army, that Ezio, Machiavelli and Leonardo stopped. <- Leonardo making bombs for them to destory the ships and to blow up the army and scaring the rest away. Is any of this able to be put into the pages they concern?

Just throwing in my two pence, if such information as an attack on Claudia and Rosa being aproached to replace her ismentioned in the Brotherhood novel, then it is canon. Nothing in-game explicitly contradicts it, not as far as I can think of anyway. Well, the only new stuff Ascendance reveals is Juan Borgia the Younger's appearance and three more generals, which were all killed on Cesare's order. Picture preferences

Hey Sima. I thought I'd involve you on a couple of points I want to bring up with my fellow users.

Right, firtstly: Something that has been bugging me for a little while now is the number of pictures on this wiki that depict Ezio in a variety of different colour robes that, canonically, we don't know he ever wore. It's all well and good to assume that, since the option to dye clothes is in-game he canonically did it, but which colour, and when? The same goes for the armour. I think we need to take a good look at all the pictures on-site that depict Ezio wearing coloured robes and, if possible, replace them with similar photos showing Ezio in white robes (and if possible without armour).

My second point is the number of photos on site that, unfortunately, include some of the, for lack of a better word, "Animus glow". A prime example of what I mean can be seen in :File:Beatup2.png|this photo, which shows Ezio's target in a white glow. Now, unless the image is being used to depict something explicitly related to the Animus, I think we should once again replace all these photos with something that does not show the Animus glow.

I know this will probably take some time, and be a large amount of work, but I do think it will be a positive contribution to the wiki, as well as a positive form of mutual interaction between the site's contributors. I have mentioned this a few times myself. Yes, I agree, but I won't be much of an asset to taking pictures, as I do not have a capture card or something. I also saw that War Clown took a few pictures with Ezio wearing the Armor of Brutus. I do not think he wore it during missions, if ever at all, as he can be seen wearing the Seusenhofer set in the memory pictures. User Ban

Master Sima, I'm posing the question to you as you were the one who banned him, but I was just wondering how Ezioaltairdesmond has still been able to edit even after you banned him a few days ago, after multiple warnings. Recently, he's made several (though not incorrect) edits, thus I was just wondering if the ban was only temporary, and not the year-long one as it sounds on his talk page.
