Wabet of Memphis

The Wabet was a mummifcation temple located in Memphis, Egypt.
In 48 BCE, the Medjay Bayek of Siwa travelled to the temple to investigate the priests' methods of preparations, having discovered rotting mummies beneath Memphis. There, he visited the worker in the backyard, where he learned that the natron used to dry out the bodies had been tainted, being mixed with sand. The worker directed Bayek to the warehouse near the canal which delivered the natron. Bayek discovered that the head of the temple had been forced by The Lizard to tamper with the mummification process under the threat of having his daughter disfigured.[1]
Around 48 BCE, Bayek also found a Papyrus Puzzle in the Wabet.[2]
