Tomoe
Tomoe was a Japanese woman who lived in Aizu during the Edo period. In the spring of 1868, she went to a national festival that celebrated spring and conversed with her fellow single girls. While there, Tomoe laughed at Yasuhime's remarks of Shiba Tanomo's daughter Shiba Atsuko's injury to her head while losing her own composure from the laughter.[1]
