The skill tree is an in-game user interface that will allow the player to upgrade Basim Ibn Ishaq's weapons and abilities during his time training to become a Master Assassin in 9th century Baghdad. The skills will be assigned to one of 3 trees, Phantom, Trickster, and Predator.[1] Unlike the trees used in previous installments of the Assassin's Creed series, progression was linear and story-based rather than dependent on accumulating experience points.[2][3]
