Sheshat, or Seshat, is the ancient Egyptian goddess of wisdom, knowledge, and writing. She was also the wife and daughter of Thoth, the god of magic, writing, and science.

Seshat is considered the creator of writing and is often displayed with a stylus, writing down important things, like the years of a pharaoh's reign.

Her worship flourished around Heliopolis.
