Muza ben Abel Gazan was a Moorish Assassin of the Spanish Brotherhood and former military advisor of Sultan Muhammad XII during the Granada War.
Biography
Descended from a long and prestigious line of cavaliers,[1] Muza was a renowned warrior whose deeds on the battlefield were the stuff of legends to the younger, more inexperienced soldiers. The leader of a cavalry division, he famously created his own fighting style that allowed him to easily defend himself against multiple enemies, forcing them to expose their own weak-points to be exploited by his lightning-fast strikes with his pike. Having seen him implement this tactic many times when on the field, his soldiers gave him the moniker "the Asp".[2]
