They call me many things: Murderer. Cutthroat. Thief. But you may call me Inquisitor's scribe.

This article is about a subject that lacks an official name and is known only by its nickname, title, or alias.

The Inquisitor's scribe was a Spanish scribe who worked for the Spanish Inquisition under Tomás de Torquemada.

In 1489, the Spanish Brotherhood of Assassins eliminated a corrupt merchant and found a note in his accounting books detailing numerous payments of five thousand coins made to the scribe.[1]

Realizing the information a man who chronicled Torquemada's atrocities and secrets would have, they tracked down the scribe and assassinated him in order to retrieve his journal. [2] In his journal they discovered a lead regarding Torquemada's plans and how Inquisitor Gustavo Ramírez featured in them.[2][3]
