Hotephres (84 or 83 BCE – unknown) was a Greek informant of Apollodorus, helping him investigate the mysterious Order of the Ancients. He lived in Euhemeria with his Egyptian wife Khenut and their daughter Shadya.

Around 48 BCE, Apollodorus sent the Medjay Bayek to recover the ledger Hotephres stole from a magistrate, which contained the true identity of The Crocodile.

His daughter was killed by Berenike, and he went into a period of great mourning, and he assisted Bayek in his quest to hunt her down in the shared spirit of revenge.
