Hervé Quemar

Hervé Quemar was a Master Assassin, part of the French Brotherhood's Assassin Council and a lawyer. During the French Revolution, he kept a very low profile and defended people accused of treason by the National Assembly.
Quemar suffered from a heart condition and used small amounts of aconite as medicine. He also suffered from gout, which at times became so severe that he could not even climb a flight of stairs without assistance. For this reason, he was not a very active member of the Brotherhood, instead preferring to read and study the many volumes kept in the sanctuary. He was also very knowledgeable about Assassin history, as shown when he related the significance of Thomas de Carneillon's robes to Arno Dorian.
